Hi people!

Who's that? We are Eva Kong, Tan Yan Ni, Evie Wong and Marilyn Cheah. (from left to right)

And we are ALL running for the PRESIDENTAL ELECTIONS.

What's that? Upcoming elections where we will present a short speech and questions will be thrown to us. After which, all PSLs are given a chance to vote for their president and vice-president.

When's that? Right now, it's scheduled on week 4, Thursday. During 2 sessions.

Make the right choice. :D

For those helping out in the
National Weather Studies Project Competition Prize ceremony,
it is at science centre.

There will be a rehearsal on the 29th June and the actual event is on the 30th June.
For the rehearsal, the ushers will haveto be at the Science Centre by 11am – 3pm and there will be a bus cateredto bring them there and back.

As for the actual even on the 30th June, the ushers may need to be there about 8.30am for a final briefing. The whole event should and at about 2.30pm. A safe time would be till 3pm.
This would mean that you'll need to miss school.
Tranport also provided.

Attire is school uniform and the BLUE BLAZER.

Hello PSLs!

There will be a conference coming up on the 18th and 19th July, called the Young Changemaker's conference. This conference is opened to Sec 3 PSLs only. It will be a good learning experience and also a good learning opportunity to network with SLs from other schools. The cost will be borne by the school. Sec 3 PSLs who are interested, please email Livia or I by 26th July, this coming Friday. Do include your class and handphone number too. There are only 10 slots available so do hurry and tell us if you're interested!

Hello all,

There is a new bunch of duties out for you to increase your duty hours! This has probably been emailed to you already but anyway. here's the details for reference.

1. Working committe for teachers' day celebrations.

We are looking for 5 Sec 3s to be on the TDC committee, sort of like OT. Must be willing to commit and preferably non exco.
( a lot of duty hours for this!!)

2. Youth day funfair

8 PSLs +1 reserve to help in coupon counting after the event.

another 8 PSLs to host NYPS students when they come for funfair. the timing for this is tentatively 10am-11am. a leader will be needed, and you can volunteer to be the leader!

3. Sec 2 PTM

- 31st july from 3.30pm to 7pm, 20 PSLs.

yay that's a lot of duty hours up for grabs!
if you're interested in any of the duties or more than one of them, email peiting (frienztasy@hotmail.com) or Yan Ni (medieval_skies@hotmail.com) as soon as possible with your name class and duty(s) you're interested in.

Hello everyone! (:

I hope everyone's enjoying their holidays haha. (although I know for most of you, there wouldn't be much holiday time left anyway :/) Anyway, let me get to the point :) We were originally planning to have a Peer Support Leaders' Convention (PSLC) during the last week of June holidays, and the numerous committees were working really hard churning out the proposals during the block test period (!!!) But the teachers felt that having the PSLC during the June hols was a bit of a rush, so the PSLC would most probably be shifted to the December holidays! So during the next General Meeting or so, we will most probably be discussing which date/week of the December holidays would be most convenient for us to hold the convention. That means the sec 4s have to come back too. (haha sorry I know all of us would have graduated by then-.-) But actually, for the sec 4s, it is up to you whether you want to attend the 1st NYGH PSLC after you've graduated:D Thanks :)

Sessions 1 - 5 will be held during the second week of June holidays. Dates and timing for sessions 6 - 10 will be confirmed at a later date as said during the GM.

All Sec 4 PSLs who are participating in the Sec 4 PTM duty, please make sure that you do not have anything important on on that day such as competition etc or you would have to leave halfway/ come halfway. If you do have to, please find a replacement asap latest by thurday. If no replacement is found, we shall presume that u would be able to turn up for the entire duty.

And please take note that there might be "packing things session" on weds or thurs.

Welfare Comm would like to clarify that if SAC duty clashes with any PSL GMs or any upcoming NYSL meetings which involve the entire PSL Board, the SAC will be closed as GMs will take priority.
